A Few Words About Us
||Kristin formed Stred Executive Search LLC in 2012 after several years recruiting with a leading regional executive search firm. Her background before she became a Board recruiter was as a corporate finance and transactional lawyer, in-house with both public companies and private companies. As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, she was a member of the top management team of two public companies engaged in mergers and acquisitions public offerings of stock,
real estate, management succession strategies, and Board deliberations. She has line experience in business as an operating vice president for the largest region of a profitable company, as well as joint venture experience, both domestic and international.
Kristin has a proven ability to recruit highly qualified director candidates from across the United States. She has successfully completed searches for directors with qualifications in niche industries, as Sarbanes-Oxley independent financial experts, and seasoned CEO's in industries relevant to her clients' needs. Kristin understands Boards' fiduciary duties and the dynamics of how teams of business people can work well together. She puts a premium on finding candidates able to communicate constructively in the Board context, which takes diplomacy as well as intelligence and experience.
Kristin has previously served on the Board of the Seattle Aquarium Society, the Corporate Counsel Committee of the Washington State Bar Association, and the UW Women's Center Advisory Committee.
Kristin holds the NACD's Certificate of Director Education and has served on several non-profit boards. She graduated from Harvard Law School in 1984, but has fully recovered her sense of humor.
